Technical requirements of reporting LULUCF at the MS level

How to do the task

We are developing a report on technical needs for the whole country for reporting Green House Gases (GHG) emissions and se­questration within LULUCF sector. Meetings with MINERD (Spanish Minister in change of LULUCF reporting), ETC-ULS-UMA and IHC in Madrid

Once defined output 1 at the MS level, there will be defined needs for time series consistency, data transformations and gap filling.

“Gaps” of information for LULUCF reporting

How to do the task

Once developed the report on technical needs, we are identifying the “Gaps” of information and solutions based on Copernicus data (“success case studies”) at two levels:

1] CLMS existing data (CLC+ and HRLs) with the aid of EEA/ETC-ULS-UMA, and

2] Spatial modelling and monitoring using Sentinel1 and 2 and other spatial datasets with the Advisory Group created.

How to do the task

Once identified the “Gaps” and their possible solutions highlighted by 4 “successful case stories” based upon Copernicus data, there will be developed 2 meetings with MINERD (the Spanish Ministry in change of LULUCF reporting) and the Advisory Group.
